Central USA Dressage Championship
June 14-15, 2008
Judge: Dr. P. Chopra, FEI I Created with YOU, the competitor in mind.
A Championship environment where one ride does not mean winning
or losing. Briar Fox, once again, is hosting the Central USA
Dressage Championships in conjunction with the Summer Dressage Open
Show on June 14-15, 2008.
Qualifying scores are not needed to enter. Any Horse/Rider
combination may compete in a specific championship level as long as
they have not shown at any USEF/USDF Recognized Show at two or more
levels higher. FEI riders may have competed at any FEI level.
Scores earned in Central USA Championship classes may also count
towards the Open Show class ribbons and titlles, USDF Regional
Championship Qualifying scores and towards Cash Jackpot money if the
competitor is so entered. One Ride-Many
Opportunities.
How to Enter: Each competitor must enter and ride in two
Championship tests at the same each day except for FEI riders who
will ride one Championship test per day. Championship
competitors in Intro through Fourth Level must ride one of their two
tests each day in the highest test at that level. For example:
Sat.-Second 1, Second 4; Sun.- Second 3, Second 4.
Intermediate Level Championship riders may enter either I-1 or I-2
each day to be eligible for the CUSA Championships at the FEI Level.
Riders may ride in additional Open Show classes each day but not
more than two Championship tests per day.
Champion and Reserve Champion for each level (Introductory thru
FEI) will be determined by averaging the percentages of all four
classes (FEI two classes). The highest average percentage will
decide the winner for that level. USEF/USDF Rules are in
effect just as in the Open Show. Whips are permitted at all levels.
A Championship level must contain/have entries for three or more competitors
to be considered for Central USA championship awards.
Awards: Central USA Champions for each Level (division if
warranted) will receive a Gold Neck Ribbon and CUSA
Championship saddle pad with logo. Reserve Champions and 3rd
place finishers will receive silver and bronze neck ribbons
respectively. An awards ceremony will take place on Sunday
afternoon at the conclusion of the Championship rides and all CUSA
Championship scores are calculated. There will be photo ops
and riders are requested to attend in their riding attire.
Attendance by the horses is recommended but optional. |
