DRESSAGE PHASE IS LOCATED IN A SAND ARENA. THE COMPETITION DRESSAGE ARENA IS LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF THE
MAIN BARN IN THE ALL-PURPOSE SAND ARENA. THE ARENA IS THE STANDARD
(SMALL) SIZE. DRESSAGE WARM UP WILL BE IN THE INDOOR ARENA
and in THE GRASS AREA JUST EAST OF THE DRESSAGE ARENA. NO LUNGING WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE INDOOR OR COMPETITION
ARENAS. LUNGING WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE GRASS WARM UP AREA.
The Time Schedule will be posted on or before the week before the Trials.
You can find your ride times posted on the ride times page.
(See link on the left in the yellow sidebar or click
here).
The Stall Chart will be posted on or before the week before the
Trials!
You can locate your stall before arrival on the "stabling
chart". All horses on grounds must be stabled. The
first 20 entries received will be stabled in the permanent show
stalls. Jump out fee for horses not stabled on grounds is $35 and
parking for jump out is located west of the XC start box and south of XC
warm up areas. Competitors stabled on grounds should go directly up the hill upon entering the
farm. There will be a stabling sign posted pointing to your left
just as you enter the farm. Please pull your rig up ahead and even
with the stalls so that any arriving trailers have room to unload
also. After you have unloaded your horse and equipment, we ask
that you park your trailer on the north side of the road and back
against the fence. Please cooperate with the parking steward and park close together. That will
allow plenty of room for all trailers to be conveniently located and
will facilitate easy hookup and departure on Sunday. Thanks for
your cooperation!
Food and Concessions
For
dinner, in Augusta we have three restaurants and all the numerous fast
food places (Pizza Hut, Subway, Taco Tico, McDonalds, etc.) The Italian restaurant does serve alcoholic
beverages, the family diner has fabulous homemade pies and the oriental
restaurant has great Chinese food. In Augusta, you probably won't
have to wait to be seated. In Andover (5 miles west of the farm),
there is an Applebees and a great local Mexican restaurant-Red Mesa
Grill. Both of these restaurants serve alcoholic
beverages. You might have to wait to be seated in Andover (usually
about 15-30 minutes). All of these restaurants (and the fast food
places) are convenient and located on US 54 Kellogg within minutes of
the farm.
Packets and Official Info
The secretary's stand will open at approximately 3pm and the packets
will be ready for you then. The secretary's stand will close
around 7pm on Friday. On Saturday, you must pick up your packets between
8am and 10am. The secretary's stand is located
directly east of the stabling area for your convenience. Scores
will be posted at the secretary's stand. If you have any questions
or need assistance, please contact the secretary for help.
Tack Shop
The Tack Shop will be open on Friday night until 6pm and from 10am
until 2pm on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. The Shop is located
in the southeast corner of the big indoor arena. You will find
some special sales on dressage items during the show. Check out
the nifty saddle pads and dressage whips on sale. Please come in and
browse. If you have forgotten any item and the store is closed;
check with the secretary for assistance.
Schooling
The competition arena is set up and open for schooling all day
Thursday (exception 3 to 6pm). Lunging will not be permitted in
the indoor arena but is permitted in the grass warm up area just east of
the competition arena. The indoor arena will be open for schooling all
day Friday until 9pm. You may hack out to the cross country warm
up area on Friday to school. You must stay on the path
designated to
and from the cross country warm up area so that you will not pass by
competition jumps. If you have any special needs for
schooling or questions, please consult the secretary for help.
Results on the Internet
When you get home log on to www.thehorsefarm.com
for your scores. We hope this will be more convenient for those of
you who keep records of your scores and those of your fellow
competitors. You won't have to jot down scores on your program,
you can just print a copy from our web site on Monday after the show.
