The Labor Day Show is full and we have a great turnout for the Adult & Junior Team Championships.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us at 316-775-5512 or Tim's (Show Manager's) Cell at 316-640-7047.  Unless you are stabled in the main barn, all horse trailers show go up the hill.  All trailers will be parked up on top of the hill.  Some entries still need copies of membership forms and coggins.  Please bring that documentation with you.  There will be a party for the Team Championship competitors on Sunday night.  The meeting that night is mandatory as a detailed explanation of the procedures on Monday will be explained then and the teams will be introduced.

This year's Calendar is posted.  We still have some judges to confirm but the dates are now set.  Click here to view the Calendar.

Please check out the "Slide Show" for photos of some really great shows.

NEWS & INFO FOR BFF DRESSAGE SHOWS. Dateline: August, 2008
Packets available at (perhaps earlier) 3pm on Friday until 7pm and again on Saturday at 7am...that's only 30 minutes before show time.  Average check-in time is 5 minutes unless the person in front of you has an incomplete entry.  If you don't have your USEF current card copies...USEF has us collect $20 from you for each and every rider, trainer & owner listed on your entry form.  OR...you can show the secretary your USEF real life card BEFORE getting your packet; otherwise the USEF has us collect $20 for each rider, trainer & owner listed on your entry form.  PENDING MEMBERSHIP????  To avoid delays: USDF/USEF Verification Search
New joint Membership Verification System. This site simplifies the process for our competitors to search for, verify & print membership info for horses, owners & riders for entry purposes. No more photocopying membership cards! At www.eqverification.org you can print all your cards on one sheet of paper.

The Time Schedule & stall chart for the Show will be posted before show!
All JUMPOUT PARKING will be located on top of the hill.  For the safety of all horses and riders and to prevent possible interruption/distraction of a competition ride;no vehicles will be permitted on the road in front (south) of the main barn.  We hope to have a great show...pray for good weather!

The show's schedule
will be posted and you can find you ride times posted on this page. The schedule on Saturday is pretty tight so we need to ask for your cooperation and assistance.  Please cooperate with the gatekeeper and be ready to ride at your scheduled time. The gate will call you up to a “holding area” when the rider in front of you is half way through their test. You will have a quick briefing and then be asked to trot around the outside of the arena immediately after the last salute by the rider just in front of your ride.  If you plan to scratch a ride for any reason, please let the gatekeeper or the secretary know as soon as you make that decision.
The Stall Chart will be posted about 3 days before the show!
You can locate your stall before arrival on the “stabling chart”.  All competitors are stabled in the permanent show stalls according to their date of entering; early bird gets the best stalls. Please go directly up the hill upon entering the farm.  There will be a stabling sign posted pointing to your left just as you enter the farm.  Please pull your rig up ahead and even with the stalls so that any arriving trailers have room to unload as well.  After you have unloaded your horse and equipment, we ask that you park your trailer on the north side of the road and back against the fence.  Tim Griest will be there to help organize the parking.  Please park close together as well.  That will allow plenty of room for all trailers to be conveniently located and will facilitate easy hookup and departure on Sunday.  Thanks for your cooperation!
Food and Concessions
Catering will be providing the breakfast & lunch concessions on both Saturday and Sunday.  For dinner, in Augusta we have three restaurants and all the numerous fast food places (Pizza Hut, Subway, Taco Tico, Col. Sanders, Hardies, McDonalds, etc).  The Italian restaurant does serve alcoholic beverages, the family diner has fabulous homemade pies and the oriental restaurant has great Chinese food.  In Augusta, you probably won’t have to wait to be seated. In Andover (5 miles west of the farm), there is an Applebees and a great local Mexican restaurant.  Both of these restaurants serve alcoholic beverages.  You might have to wait to be seated in Andover (usually about 15-30 minutes).  All of these restaurants (and the fast food places) are convenient and located on US 54 Kellogg within minutes of the farm.
Packets and Official Info
The secretary’s stand will open approximately 3pm (perhaps earlier) and the packets will be ready for you then.  The secretary’s stand is located by the Griest's home. Scores will be posted at the secretary’s stand.  If you have any questions or need assistance in any way, please contact the secretary for help.

Schooling
The competition arena is set up and open for schooling all day Friday until 9pm.  The indoor arena will be open for schooling all day about 10pm on Friday.  Lunging will be permitted only in the indoor arena.  Please do not lunge if several other riders are warming up in the indoor.  You are welcome to ride around our cross country (apprx. 100 acres) but you are not allowed to jump any cross country fences without prior arrangements.  If you have any special needs for schooling, please consult the secretary for help.

Results on the Internet
When you get home log on to www.thehorsefarm.com  for your scores.  We hope this will be more convenient for those of you who keep records of  your scores and those of your fellow competitors.  You won’t have to jot down scores on your program, you can just print a copy from our web site on Monday after the show.
