Candy Nuss and Siegfried
Training
Tip #3: Keep him in the rhythm and working through his
back by not letting his neck come up too high. If not he
gets uneven in the rhythm and then resists. Candy
is from Hoisington, KS. and her horse Siegfied is an 8 year old
Bay Trakener gelding, 16 hands. Besides correctly positioning the
horse, they also worked on very accurate leg yielding to get the
horse moving from the inside leg and onto the outside rein.
In Germany this is called "Weichen". The spectators also
discovered that Leg Yielding Left in Germany means Leg Yielding
off the left leg and moving to the right. In the US, Leg
Yielding Left means Leg Yielding off the right leg and moving to
the left. They also worked on very accurate execution of the
counter canter. Photo
