"Collect from tail to nose" advises clinician David Wightman. The hind legs need to become quicker and bear more weight. As you collect, get the feeling of "piaffing behind". Keep contact into your hands so that he stays rounder in the transitions. Use trot to halt to trot transitions to help collect from tail to nose. When you go into the canter...sit quiet.
